My name is Susan Hanson. This is my 4th year at Forest Trail and my 35th year of teaching. I have 3 children, (ages 32, 28, and 20) who attended Eanes ISD schools and graduated from Westlake High School. My husband and I have adjusted to our empty nest but we still have two dogs Molly and Lucy.
I graduated from the University of Texas in 1977 and have lived in Austin for a total of 48 years. I was born in Austin but our family moved to the Ft.Worth/Dallas area when I was in 2nd grade. I came back as soon as I could and never left. I retired from teaching in 2008 but came back to work part time in 2011. I love working at Forest Trail. This year I am part of the Response to Intervention (RTI) team. I completed my Wilson Reading Certification this summer and will be one of the Dyslexia specialists on our campus.
I am in room 66 which is a small classroom inside the library area. To contact me by phone call: 512-732-9160 ext. 24025.
